Citesafe was formed in 2006 to work in conjunction with the HSE directive of 2005 Working at Height. We have designed, developed and manufactured a set of Podium Steps Model POD78. We are also sourcing other allied products to increase our range.
Statistically:
- In 2005/06 falls from height accounted for over 46 fatalities in the work place
- There were over 3350 major injuries attributed to working from height
- Every 3 minutes, someone has an accidental slip, trip or fall
- 33% of all reported major injuries are a result of slips, trips or falls
- 50% of all reported accidents to members of the public are due to slips, trips or falls
- There are 2 fatalities each year due to a slip or trip
- 95% of major slips result in broken bones
- Costing the national health service £133million each year
- The cost to employers is £512million per year
- The cost to families and friends is unaccountable
Our Mission:
- To reduce the number of accidents working at low level
- Through the use of our product possibly encourage insurance companies to reduce premiums
- To reduce the number of injury claims against companies from employees due to the absence of correct safety equipment on site
